SithVamp Reviews: Cinderella (2015)Welcome to another episode of SithVamp Reviews. Nowadays it seems like Disney has a craze of making live-action remakes of their classic animated movies. Well, since I’ve already looked at the live-action 101 Dalmatians movie and I plan to review that huge letdown: Maleficent, I now am going to review one of Disney’s live-action remakes of their classic cartoon movies: Cinderella.Disney’s live-action Cinderella movie came out this year, in 2015, and this is the first most recent movie ever to be reviewed on SithVamp Reviews. Another thing that I need to point out that unlike the animated movie, this film is not a musical, so don’t expect the Mice to sing “Cinderelly, Cinderelly, Night and Day it’s Cinderelly” in this one. The only song in the entire film is “Lavenders Green, Dilly-Dilly, Lavenders Blue”, sung by Cinderella herself. Anyway, the movie opens with a little girl named Ella living happily with her wealthy parents. Ella i
SithVamp Reviews: The Hobbit (1966 Short)Welcome to another episode of SithVamp Reviews… I think I have made it no secret that I love JRR Tolkien’s book: the Hobbit, the Peter Jackson movies based off of it, and the 1977 animated movie. However, Rankin-Bass and Studio Ghibli were not the first ones to make a film adaptation of Tolkien’s iconic fantasy novel. No, believe it or not, 11 years before the Rankin-Bass cartoon movie was made, there was an animated short film based off of the Hobbit, which has almost nothing to do with the original book. That’s the movie I’ll be looking at today. This may be a short film, but there are a lot of things wrong with it…This “animated” Hobbit short film came out in 1966. It was made by a Czech animation studio and animated by Gene Deitch. Now most of you may know Deitch for making some Tom and Jerry cartoons that were… not really good. However, I was introduced to Gene Deitch through the animated anthology movie: Alice of Wonderland i
My Thoughts on Disrespectoids and MixelsThis is a birthday gift for :iconhershey990:She asked me to give my thoughts on two of her favorite shows: Capri Sun’s Disrespectoids and Mixels.Disrespectoids:This is a series of cartoons to promote Capri Sun beverages. It's about kids who mutated with various objects, because they didn’t “respect the pouch”. I think this show is okay. My favorite characters are Boing-Boing Betty, Slow Moe, Sandy Mandy, Chuck the Clucker and Handlebar Harry. However, I don’t like Leaky Louie.Mixels:And this is a series to promote the Lego toys: Mixels. It’s about these creatures named Mixels, who can fuse into each other to make new creatures. This show is kind of okay too, and my favorite character is Scorpi, but one thing bugs me: all the Mixels are male, and there are no girls. So, Hershey, I’ll be honest: I think Disrespectoids and Mixels are okay.
SithVamp Reviews: Lego Batman: BeleagueredWelcome to another episode of SithVamp Reviews. Now I’m covering a short Lego movie about the DC Superheroes. It’s Lego Batman: Beleaguered.Lego Batman: Beleaguered came out last year, in 2014. The movie opens in, where else, Gotham City, where the Joker, the Penguin and Man-Bat are trying to steal some jewels, but Batman stops them, and this is when Superman shows up. Superman is here, because he wants to invite Batman to his new team of Superheroes: the Justice League. Since he prefers working alone, Batman turns down the offer. And even when Superman is trying to help Batman by fighting off the villains, Bats still refuses to join the Justice League. Superman then flies off, but then something makes him vanish into thin air, along with the diamond in the museum.Batman then returns to the Bat Cave, where Alfred wants him to reconsider joining the Justice League, but Bats still says no. And while he’s busy talking about how better it is for him to work alone, we se
Villains Who Are Good Guys in My TooniverseI think I made it no secret that I like villain characters from cartoons. But here’s something you need to know: many of these villain characters are good guys in my Tooniverse. Why? Because I don’t think these certain villain characters are really evil.Transformers:This goes mostly for Decepticons. In my Tooniverse some Decepticons are actually good guys, and here1. Skywarp (Animated): Think about it: he’s just a coward who didn’t want to fight, and I do not think he’s really evil. In my world, he crash-landed on Griffin Rock and joined the Rescue Bots.2. Blackarachnia (Animated): If the series went on, I know she would have redeemed herself and rejoined the Autobots. In my Tooniverse, TFA Blackarachnia did redeem herself: she’s a Maximal.3. Scavenger (G1): To me, he’s the least evil Constructicon.4. Mixmaster (Animated): Face it: the Constructicons in Animated were only portrayed as dumb construction workers, and they never even formed
