SV Reviews: TMNT: Blast to the Past
Welcome back to March of the Dinosaurs on SithVamp Reviews! It’s time to look at a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles special, where they go back in time and team up with Dinosaurs: this is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Blast to the Past came out in 2015. Unlike the show, this is a 2D-animated special to promote the Half-Shell Heroes toy line. Anyway, the movie opens in New York, where we see our Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo driving the Party Wagon, chasing Bebop, Rocksteady and Tiger Claw to the Natural History Museum.
When they enter the museum’s Dinosaur exhibition, the Turtles see that Tiger Claw, Bebop and Rocksteady entered too and hear that they’re looking for a powerful crystal: the Cronite, that Shredder wants. The Turtles decide to stop the three thugs, but Mikey is too amazed to see the Dinosaur skeletons. Tiger Claw is about to grab the Cronite, but he notices the Turtle

SV Reviews: Dinosaur
Welcome back to March of the Dinosaurs on SithVamp Reviews! When I was a little kid, the only Dinosaurs I knew about was T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Pteranodon/Pterodactyl and Apatosaurus. But all that changed when I saw a CGI-animated Disney movie; a movie about Dinosaurs simply called… well, Dinosaur. And that is the movie I’m about to review right now.
Dinosaur came out in 2000. The movie opens in a field, where we see a huge herd of Dinosaurs grazing and guarding their nests. We then see a young Parasaurolophus chasing a little flying lizard into the jungle. Suddenly, a Carnotaurus bursts out of the jungle and attacks the Herd, killing many Dinosaurs in the process. Then we see an Oviraptor stealing an egg from one of the abandoned nests. The Oviraptor runs into the woods, where it gets in a fight over the egg with another Oviraptor. While they fight, the Oviraptors accidentally drop the egg into the river and it swims until a Pterodactyl picks it up.

SV Reviews: The Valley of Gwangi
Welcome to another episode of SithVamp Reviews, and welcome… to March of the Dinosaurs! Yep, all through March, I’m going to review Dinosaur movies. I’m gonna embark on a Cinematic Paleontological Journey and dig up 6 movies featuring these amazing prehistoric beasts. The first movie I’ll be looking at is a stop-motion fossil back from the 60s: THE VALLEY OF GWANGI!!! This is also the first Ray Harryhausen movie to be featured on SithVamp Reviews…
The Valley of Gwangi came out in 1969. The movie takes place in Mexico at the turn of the Century. First we see a group of Gypsies looking for someone, and then they find a wounded man carrying a bag with something moving in it. The man utters his last words: “Gwangi…” then dies. One of the Gypsies, Carlos takes the bag, but the blind old lady of the group: Madame Tia Zorina tells him to leave it, because it will bring the curse of “Gwangi the Evil One”, but Carlos insists to take th

SV Reviews: The Empire Strikes Back
(Dedicated to Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) and Kenny Baker (1932-2016))
Welcome to another episode of SithVamp Reviews… Thank God 2016 is finally over, because it took a lot of good people away, including not one, but 2 major Star Wars actors: Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and more recently (and tragically) Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). And since Star Wars Episode 8 is coming out by the end of this year, let 2017’s first SithVamp Reviews be a double tribute to these two actors. In loving memory of both Kenny Baker and Carrie Fisher, SithVamp Reviews’ first episode in 2017 is a review on: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
The Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980. The movie opens with a Star Destroyer shooting out escape pods, and one of these pods lands on an arctic planet called Hoth. A spider-like Viper Probe Droid emerges from the pod and starts searching the place. We then see Luke Skywalker, who is on patrol, riding his Tauntaun. Luke notices the pod crashing so h

I'm planning to see Kong: Skull Island. Should I watch the original 1933 movie first?

33 deviants said No, it's not necessary

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 24, 2017, 1:58 PM

I just saw Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast and...

It was beautiful! While I still prefer the animated movie, this movie impressed me too. Emma Watson actually made a pretty good Belle.

For those of you who still haven't seen the movie, I won't spoil it, but I can tell you something: you won't be disappointed.
